The Opportunity
We’re NetFabric, a rapidly growing deeptech startup and ETH Zürich spin-off specializing in agentic network operations. Networks are getting too complex for humans to run alone, so we’re building the AI that helps run them instead: agents that investigate, coordinate, and act across complex infrastructure.
We’re a passionate team of award-winning researchers and experienced entrepreneurs. We believe networking is about to experience the kind of moment Claude Code brought to software engineering, and we’re well positioned to be at the forefront of it.
We are a team of 10, moving fast, and a lot is happening at once. The founding team is stretched across every function, and we need someone to step in, take ownership, and help us scale: The product is live, customers are coming in, and the company is at the point where the right hire compounds everything.
Think of this role as a paid “Real-World MBA.” If you are considering starting your own company in 3-5 years, this is one of the best training grounds you will find.
What You Will Do
You will work shoulder to shoulder with the founders on whatever it takes to run and scale the company, then hunt down its most expensive, repetitive work and automate it away.
- Operational chaos: Help keep the company running day to day, from basic finance admin and hiring logistics to whatever is on fire this week.
- Sales operations: Drive the commercial engine between founder conversations. Think GTM workflows, finding prospects, preparing materials, or whatever else the motion needs.
- Investor relations: Support board and investor matters, from admin and regular updates to fundraising when it comes around.
- AI automation: Spot where the company spends the most time and money on manual, repetitive work, then fix it with the scripts, workflows, and AI agents that remove the grunt work for good.
- Founder’s right hand: Sit in on high-level meetings, take notes, and help us execute the follow-ups, including the research that informs them.
Who We Are Looking For
We hire for agency and learning speed, not years on a CV.
- High agency: When you hit a roadblock, you don’t ask what to do. You try three things, and come back saying “I fixed it using X.”
- Fast learner: You move from zero to up and running fast across wildly different domains, from a new tool to a corner of networking to how a funding round works. We can hand you something unfamiliar and trust you to run with it.
- Technical depth: You can write a script, build a workflow, or wire up an AI agent, and deploy simple automation so it runs reliably for months without babysitting. You don’t need to be a software engineer, but you know the basics (git, Claude Code or equivalent, what an API is) when the task calls for it.
- Founder empathy: You understand that in an early-stage startup, no task is beneath you. You’ve run a side project, an organization, or tried to build something of your own.
This Role Is Not For You If
- You need a structured training program or daily direction.
- You are uncomfortable with ambiguity. The plan on Tuesday may change by Thursday.
- You want a pure strategy role. This one requires getting your hands dirty.
- You have no technical background and no interest in building one.
Why NetFabric?
- Immediate impact and ownership: A small, fast-growing team where your work matters from day one, with real ownership and direct access to the founders.
- Growth and collaboration: Learn how a company gets built from the inside, across every function.
- Equity and competitive compensation: A comprehensive package with stock options and a real stake in our success.
- Flexible working: Based with the team in Zurich, with room to shape your schedule around what makes you most effective, plus regular time together as a team.
How to Apply
Send your CV and answer these two questions (max 150 words each):
- Tell us about a time you identified a problem no one asked you to fix and solved it on your own. What did you do and what was the result?
- Pick one repetitive process from your current or past work. How would you automate it, and which tools or approach would you use? Be specific.
