Switzerland, a deep-tech powerhouse

The report shines a spotlight on Switzerland’s position as a global leader in deep tech innovation. Deep tech now attracts 60% of all Swiss venture capital, the highest share of any country worldwide. With investment reaching $1.9B in 2024 (including investment into NetFabric), the sector has grown nearly sixfold in a decade, now valuing private Swiss deep tech startups at over $50B. Switzerland also leads Europe in per-capita deep tech funding and ranks third globally, trailing only Israel and the US. According to the report, Swiss deep-tech ventures are attractive not least because they can recruit top talent from the world-class universities ETH Zurich and EPFL, which is strongly reflected in the NetFabric team as well.
